Materials:

d.k. weight yarn approx 129 yds per 50 gm skein.  Sweater pictured uses Rowan Tweed wool. 1 set each US 2 and US 4 needles.

A 16" US 2 circular needle. Some stitch holders. Crochet hook size E (optional)

Gauge:

Stockinette stitch sample:  6 st = 1"; 8 rows = 1" on US 4.

Pattern st:  8½ rows = 1” after blocking.

This sweater knits on smaller needles than is customary for this weight yarn. The tighter gauge results in a better fitting, longer lasting garment. A Mari Sweater fits and it flatters.

Note: The nature of this pattern requires blocking out to properly
show off the cables.  If you prefer your cables more fully ribbed, you will need to make a size or two wider, as the pattern
measurements reflect blocking out approximately 1½” across each piece.  This changes the gauge from 8 rows/in to 8½ rows/in.
