LEFT FRONT BAND: Pick up 13 from holder. With #3 needles, begin on inside; save 8’ to attach band. Rib 127/131/137/141/143/147 rows, counting from the bottom of the sweater. (You can mark the buttonholes if you wish. See directions under right front band.) Break yarn. Attach band to front, taking 9 band spaces for every 10 body spaces. This will keep band from sagging.

MS 127: FOR MEN'S MODEL PLACKET:

CENTER BAND: RS facing, put Center Band 15 on US 4; leave a 10’ tail. Continue Ribbing as set for 75/80/85/90/95 more rows, or 110/115/120/125/130 rows from CO edge. Place a marker here to indicate where to begin the right band. Left Band: Continue with center band, placing buttonholes as indicated below for your size. Count from the CO edge. Size 34-46: 118, 134, 150 Size 44: 134, 152, 170 Size 38: 122, 138, 154 Size 46-48: 138, 156, 174 Size 40-42: 128, 144, 160 Work Left Band 155/160/165/175/180 rows from CO edge. End with RS facing for next row. Break yarn. Use tail to attach Band to left Front. Right Band: Use tail to attach Center Band to Right Front up to marker. With RS facing at marker, k1 in each of the 15 sts behind Center Band to form Right Band. Next Row (WS): (k1, p1) rep 7x, k1. Next Row (RS): (p1, k1, p1, sl 1) rep 3x, p1, k1, p1.
